Two Soundboard Woods — One Responsive Double-Top Voice

The outer Western Red Cedar layer contributes the warm, rich and immediate character for which cedar is so highly regarded. Its natural sensitivity allows subtle variations in touch and dynamics to translate readily into musical expression.
Beneath it, a Nomex honeycomb inner core separates the soundboard layers, with European spruce forming the second wooden layer of the double top.

In addition to the standard 650 mm scale and 52 mm nut width, the De Cascia Sylvia DT can be specially ordered with:
