De Cascia Guitars – Limited One Year Warranty

This warranty applies only to instruments built by De Cascia Guitars and purchased new from decasciaguitars.com or an authorized De Cascia dealer.

Coverage

  • One year structural warranty to the original retail purchaser against defects in:
    • Body, neck, bracing, and internal construction
    • Finish adhesion (not normal aging or checking)

Conditions for Validity

  • Warranty is valid only for the first/original owner.
  • Proof of purchase (dated receipt or invoice) is required.
  • The owner must follow recommended care guidelines: stable humidity (40–50%), proper storage, and regular maintenance.

What We Will Do

  • At our discretion, repair or replace any defective part or the entire instrument.
  • Repairs are performed only by De Cascia Guitars or an authorized De Cascia service center.
  • If a model is discontinued, we may replace it with a similar model of equal value.

Exclusions (Not Covered)

  • Normal wear: strings, frets, nuts, saddle, finish checking or fading.
  • Damage from:
    • Improper humidity/temperature, direct sunlight, or moisture
    • Accidents, drops, or misuse
    • Unauthorized modifications, parts, or repairs
  • Guitars purchased used, from unauthorized sellers, or without proof of purchase.
  • Set-ups or routine maintenance.

Owner Responsibilities

  • Maintain humidity between 40% and 50% and avoid rapid temperature changes.
  • Use a hard case when transporting.
  • Keep records of any adjustments or repairs.

Limitation of Liability

  • This warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty for De Cascia guitars and replaces all other warranties, expressed or implied.
  • De Cascia Guitars is not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from ownership or use of the instrument.

What We Cover

  • Material Defects: Structural or material flaws resulting from the manufacturing process (e.g., cracks, material degradation).
  • Workmanship Issues: Assembly or functional problems caused during production (e.g., faulty latches).

What We Don’t Cover

Normal Wear & Tear

  • Surface or functional deterioration from regular use (rips, peeling, scratches, dents).
  • Rust, fading, or UV damage.
  • Cosmetic changes that don’t affect performance.

Improper Use or Care

  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or excessive force.
  • Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or alterations.
  • Not following care or maintenance instructions.

Non-Authorized Purchases

  • Products bought from unauthorized dealers or resellers.
  • Secondhand or refurbished items.

Environmental Damage

  • Problems caused by extreme temperatures, humidity, or improper storage conditions.
